Make Money from AI-Generated YouTube Shorts? These done-for-you YouTube shorts made with AI are getting millions of views every day, but most people don’t really know how to make money from YouTube shorts. So, in this free step-by-step tutorial, I will first show you how to create these videos with AI, and then I’m going to show you how to make money online almost right away.
If you’ve been on YouTube for a while, you’ve probably seen channels featuring science facts, history facts, and not just YouTube shorts, but long-form videos as well. There are tons of faceless channels posting history facts and interesting things that have happened on this planet. Here’s another channel over here. They sometimes get millions of views. All of these are AI-generated, and all of these are faceless videos. Like this one, it got 800,000 views, and this is literally just pure AI—AI voice, AI script, AI everything. There are also shorts channels as well that get tons of views, and here’s another one. Some of their shorts have tens of millions of views, which is pretty crazy when you think about the fact that they’re all AI-generated. They’re not even real. Here’s another one over here with 25 million views.
But again, most people don’t really know how to make money from this. So what I need you to do right now is go to these different YouTube channels that you want to replicate and take screenshots of their thumbnails and titles. Literally just boom—take a screenshot like this. Go to another channel, take a screenshot, take a screenshot. Go to ChatGPT, upload those screenshots, click on “Attach Files,” and upload from your computer. Good. Now just say, “Based on these viral shorts ideas, come up with 10 similar viral ideas for a channel that covers bizarre science facts instead of history,” and make these titles almost the same as those channels.
History channels are a bit oversaturated right now, so what we’re going to do here is use this ChatGPT prompt. I want you to copy this. I’m going to tell you later on where to get this prompt for completely free, so stick with me until the end to see that. But for now, where it asks you what the niche is going to be about, paste “bizarre science facts.” Where it asks about the video format at the bottom, just say “shorts.” The style of writing is going to be very friendly, and to describe what this is going to be about, you can use an example like, “This bacteria living inside of you right now.” Paste that in.
As you submit this, ChatGPT will start writing a full script for you. In the meantime, head over to this AI tool (link in the description) that actually creates these shorts for you. But this is not where it ends. If you just post these shorts, you’re not going to make money. Stick with me so I can show you how people actually make money from ad revenue from these videos.
Go to the dashboard section, log into your account, and find the videos you’ve already created. I already have quite a few made. To make these videos, all I do is click “Create Video” and then go to ChatGPT. I take the script that was created for me, remove the unnecessary parts like the conclusion and the final line (which aren’t important), and get rid of any sections that aren’t essential to the script. Now I’m ready to go. I can basically just click “Generate Video.” If I don’t want to change the voice or the music in the background, I can just go with this, and it will create a video in less than 60 seconds that looks pretty much the same as these videos that are already getting millions of views.
Here’s another short I just generated with AI—full voiceover, animations, everything with music. Now I can click “Export” and download this video to my computer. But before I do that, head over to CapCut.com, which is a free video editing tool. Click on “New Video” because when I post a YouTube short, for example, this one got 200,000 views but only made $13 from ad revenue.
Now, you might say, “But that’s okay, why are you complaining? You can buy a pizza with that.” It’s not that bad. But when I post a long-form video, which also gets 2,000 views, it makes $1,200 from ad revenue. Do you see the massive difference in revenue just because it’s a long-form video rather than a YouTube short? Or, if I get a little more views, like 900,000 views on this one, I can make $37,000 from ad revenue. It’s a huge, huge difference.
Again, with YouTube shorts, we only make $13, while these longer videos make a lot more. So what I suggest is making a compilation of YouTube shorts. Each one generated with StoryShort will be about a minute long. If you put eight of them together, you’ll have an 8-minute long video. This way, you can put more ads and make more money. Download the shorts from StoryShort. If you’ve generated multiple, just press the “Download” button, and it will render and download them.
Once you have some videos ready, go to the video section on the left-hand side and download them. Click on the three dots, then click “Share.” In this case, we’re not uploading it directly to YouTube; we’re going to download it. Click “Export,” then “Download.” It will render and download to your computer.
Now, head over to CapCut, drag and drop that first video. This one is about 1 minute and 30 seconds long. You also want to change the aspect ratio to 16:9. You can add a background image if you want, or just skip it. Upload another video by clicking “Upload File.” Now you have a video over 2 minutes long, and you need to make it 8 minutes. It will be a compilation of different science and history facts. Once you’re ready, click “Export” and download it as an MP4 video that’s over 8 minutes long. Choose 1080p resolution and export.
To create similar thumbnails to the ones performing well on YouTube, right-click, copy the link address, and head over to another AI tool (link in the description) that helps create viral thumbnails. Paste the YouTube video link you want to replicate. Select the inspiration weight to be medium or high, then click “Generate.” In 60 seconds, you’ll get a thumbnail done.
Now, download the full video from CapCut once it’s done exporting. Download it to your computer for free and upload it to your YouTube channel. Once that’s done, take the thumbnail generated with AI, download it to your computer, and upload it to YouTube along with the video.
To get the prompts I mentioned and set up a channel like this, go to School.com/obf or click some of the links in the description to join the free community. Once in, click on “Tools,” open the post, and you’ll find the YouTube Automation Starter Blueprint. It has ChatGPT prompts for generating voiceovers, thumbnails, viral scripts, and a checklist to guide you through the process. It also comes with a free training tutorial, all inside our free community. You can upload these videos, make money in different ways with YouTube shorts, and even turn them into compilations, posting both shorts and long-form videos!
